In summer of 1563, Mori Takakage attacked Imabari Castle with a small force. Imabari fell swiftly.
Takakage had a special rapport with ashigeru. He always made sure that they were as well treated as the samurai and for that his ashigeru were willing to go through fire for him...sometimes literally.

As Takakage watched the plume of black smoke rising up from the gates of Imabari, he imagined a similar fate for every other castle in Shikkokui. He will tear through Shikkoku with his invincible army like the whirlwind. Like his brother, he will become known as...the Tiger of Shikkoku!
